The inaugural function of the 47^th PEDICON was concluded successfully at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre, Hitex. The function was graced by honorable ‘chief guest’ Dr. C Rangarajan, Padma Vibhushan (Economic advisor in PMO) and ‘guest  of honour’ Chief Justice Subhashan Reddy, Chairman human rights commission . The eminent office bearers of IAP including the President IAP (past, present and elect), Secretary IAP and the chief organizing committee of PEDICON 2010 shared the dais with the chief guest. The handing over ceremony of the office of President IAP was done. Guest speakers stressed on the importance of child health in the future development of the country, and the need to further improve the child health. Three senior pediatricians of Andhra Pradesh Dr Y C Mathur, Dr P SMurty and Dr Venkatesh Alladi were felicitated. The concluding event was a dance cultural program by the physically and mentally impaired children.
